A European judge halted the United Kingdom from transferring its control of the Chagos Islands to Mauritius days before the deal was scheduled to get signed on Thursday. The United Kingdom has consented to grant Mauritius of the Indian Ocean island, which includes Diego Garcia, the island nation’s largest island, a effectively significant naval and bomb base. The United Kingdom had finally recoup the foundation for at least 99 times. The management of U.S. President Donald Trump, who had been consulted on the bargain, gave its approval, but finalizing the deal was postponed due to last-minute negotiations over expenses. Thursday night, in a virtual meeting, the deal was scheduled to be signed. However, a High Court judge on Thursday morning issued an injunction, putting a hang on the deal. It was made in response to a state made by two of the island’s unique inhabitants. The Chagos islands claim they were not informed about the deal because many of them moved to Britain in the 1960s and 1970s to make room for the Diego Garcia foundation.
