‘We rebuilt the military’, says Donald Trump in West Point speech, criticises ‘social projects’
Donald Trump criticizes” social jobs” in his West Point speech, saying,” We rebuilt the martial.”

Donald Trump, the president of the United States, delivered a fiery and politically charged commencement address at West Point on Saturday, using the situation to compliment the college recruits while claiming credit for America’s military rise and reaffirming his” America First” philosophy. Trump thanked the 1, 002 graduates who had worked hard and honored the school’s storied reputation while speaking to them at Michie Stadium. You’ll graduate from the most prestigious and distinguished military college in human history, he said in a few times. Trump veered into politics, asserting that his supervision had redefined defense priorities while wearing his signature red” Make America Great Once” cover. He said,” We’re getting rid of obstacles and we’re focusing our army on its core mission: destroying America’s enemies, killing America’s enemies, and defending our excellent British flag like it has never been defended.” Trump also criticized what he referred to as” social projects and political causes” during previous administrations. He criticized previous officials for dragging the defense into “nation-building knights to countries that wanted nothing to do with us” and praised his unique track record of preventing US involvement in war. He continued to make up his disparaging remarks about the 2020 and 2024 votes, saying,” We had no wars, we had no difficulties, we had nothing but achievement, we had the most amazing economy.” Trump received a “mandate” to act quickly given that he had won all seven swing states in the previous election. Trump took some moments to show the achievements of each student amid the political rhetoric. In only two hours and 30 minutes, he brought forth firefighter Chris Verdugo, who completed a grueling 18.5-mile protest in freezing conditions. He also praised West Point’s top soccer team, quarterback Bryson Daily, and player Bryson Daily for his” steel”-like back. Trump used Daily to bolster his position on trans athletes, saying,” This is the kind of head that belongs in men’s sports.” He even issued pardons for a number of recruits who faced administrative transgressions, telling the class,” You could have gone anywhere, but what you’re doing is better.” He also urged the new officials to “do what you love,” taking risks, and accept careerism. He remarked,” We need revolutionaries with fortitude, eyesight, and backbone.” About three hundred protesters gathered happily outside the school, according to AP. Some people waved colors, while others held signs expressing opposition to Trump’s political opinions, including one that reads,” Go Army Beat Fascism.” Trump’s speech at West Point in 2020 during the pandemic, which sparked controversy by resuming recruits ‘ enrollment despite health concerns, was akin to his earlier West Point address in 2020. He likewise delivered a speech at the University of Alabama earlier this month that had political themes.
