Maria Zakharova, a spokesperson for Russia’s foreign ministry, made fun of a popular video showing French President Emmanuel Macron‘s wife Brigitte hurling him as they arrived in Vietnam. She claimed on Telegram that Macron had “got a proper rope from his woman.” The picture, which was widely shared on social media, appeared to show an unpleasant situation between the couple, causing rumors about a potential conflict. The first woman decided to cheer up her husband with a gentle touch on the face and miscalculated her power, Sakharova wrote in rudely suggesting different theories for the sign. Was she delivering him a cell but it went unfilled? Did she want to repair his neck but ultimately ended up touching his favorite face? Here’s a hint: perhaps it was the “hand of the Kremlin”? She added that the French president has denied there has been a fight and that they were just joking because they frequently do. Everyone needs to” slow down,” and none of these statements are accurate, despite their after being refuted. In light of continuous tensions over the conflict in Ukraine, Macron has been the focus of popular video content for the next day in May. France is currently facing what it calls an increase in disinformation campaigns, many of which it believes are linked to Russia.
