King Charles Undercuts Canada’s Sovereignty While Trying to Affirm It

According to all accounts, King Charles II I’s major speech on Tuesday in Ottawa was intended to be a rebuke for Donald Trump and all of his rants about Canada becoming a 51st state if it had to rely on American aid to survive. However, when Charles suddenly delivered his eagerly awaited address, he ultimately came out against American sovereignty more than against supporting it.

The purpose of Charles ‘ trip was to let him know, according to AP reports from Friday that he was” coming to Canada to deliver a message: Canada is a sovereign nation distinct from the United States.” New Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney invited Charles to give the statement from the crown on Tuesday where he will outline the plan of the Canadian government when Parliament reopens because of U.S. President Donald Trump’s repeated idea that the country should annexe its northern cousin.

Yes, this was a really good idea right off the bat: present Orange Man Bad that you’re a royal state by reminding the world that you’re a part of an international group of former British colonies that are under the control of the English prince. But Charles made it even worse when he really spoke on Tuesday.

King Charles III in Canada:” I would like to recognize that the Algonquin Anishinaabeg individuals are gathered on unceded country. This recognition of property is a recognition of our shared background as a country. photograph. twitter.com/oy6iN1kDy9— captive dreamer ( @avaricum777 ) May 27, 2025

The king made some fluff with the phrase” we hear Indians coming together in a renewed sense of national pride, unification, and hope” before proceeding on top. However, Charles abruptly reversed his position after mentioning Canada’s delight and unity, saying:” I would like to recognize that we are gathered on the unceded place of the Algonquin Anishinaabeg people. This recognition of landmass is a recognition of our shared background. It is my greatest hope that in each of your communities, and as a nation as a whole, a way is found toward truth and reconciliation, both in word and deed, while I’m continuing to strengthen my own knowing.

Communication: Charles has awakened. Even Charles himself’s claim is not much deeper than that, but what he said had repercussions that were far beyond what he probably intended. Charles was only stating that he was a typical 21st-century leftist who was also deeply repressed by colonialism and good to have supported white supremacy despite never having actually practiced either one.

One of the popular beliefs of the time was that people of European descent are illegal occupiers of land that is rightfully owned by colored people who are innocent victims who sacrificely bear the sins of the white man, which Charles good accepted to be be irrelevant lip service to. The fact that those colored people themselves seized the property from others is of no concern to those who propagate this special mythology.

The prince, however, is not some communist university teacher standing in a sparsely populated auditorium to address tired and taught blue-haired students. It matters when he declares his country as sovereign, and that is exactly what he did when he acknowledged it before the American congress. The apparent Algonquin Anishinabeg people claimed that the property belonged to the Algonquin Anishinabeg people, but the apparent ruler of the land was basically saying that he wasn’t the sovereign.

Was Charles renouncing Canada’s claim to the land if Canada, or at least the area where the legislature tower in Ottawa is located, is actually the “unceded place” of the Algonquin Anishinabeg people? Does he try to demand that the Canadians evict it and return it to the Anishinabeg persons of Ontario? Did he request and monitor the creation of an Algonquin Anishinabeg government for the group’s alleged land in Canada? Will he be in charge of the Algonquin Anishinabeg people’s election of the Ottawa government’s members?

He may, of course, not do any of those issues, and neither of them will occur. Charles ‘ statement was not intended to be anything other than a reminder that the American people, and the parliamentarians in particular, need to choose an apology-giving subservience toward the local people and offer them financial and other favors wherever feasible. &nbsp,

However, Charles ‘ words were deeply ironic in the context of a conversation intended to be a parody of Trump’s attack on American independence. Instead of speaking with Mark Carney, Trump might begin discussions with the Algonquin Anishinaabeg persons if he truly wants Canada to become the 51st position. In any case, Charles ‘ thoughts once again demonstrate the irresponsibility and incoherence of leftist ideologies and fads.
