Donald Trump is urging Canada to acquiesce to the United States as its 51st state to avoid being charged$ 61 billion to join his plan to build a” Golden Dome” air defense system.
Trump’s menace to indict the northern nation comes on the same day that King Charles III first formally established the Canadian Parliament as monarch. The gesture was intended to subtly remind Trump that Canada is still a member of the British and Commonwealth and reiterated in Charles ‘ movement.
Trump’s attitude toward the metaphorical show, however, did not seem to be unmoving.
” I told Canada, which very much wants to be a part of our wonderful Golden Dome System, that it will cost ZERO DOLLARS if they become our cherished 51st State, despite the fact that it will cost them$ 61 billion if they remain a separate, but unequal, nation. They are taking the present into account”! Trump wrote on Tuesday night’s Truth Social.
Is it still unclear whether Canada, which has repeatedly rejected joining the United States, is really considering Trump’s present?
The Canadian Embassy was contacted by The Washington Examiner for remark.
Last month, Trump made the idealistic plan to build an air defense system at the Pentagon known as the Golden Dome. The work will be led by Gen. Michael Guetlein, the second-highest-ranking officer in the Space Force.
Before engaging in a trade war, Trump’s officials have firmly rejected the offer and even threatened to retaliate against him for 25 % tariffs on Canadian steel and aluminum items.
KING CHARLES APPLAUDS THE SELF-DETERMINATION OF “STRONG AND FIERCE” CANADA, BUT PLAYS NICE ON TRUMP.
However, Charles ‘ address to the Canadian Parliament served as yet another reminder that Trump’s plan to make Canada the 51st is unlikely to happen during his presidency.
The queen has been a sign of Canada’s unity for so long. It even embodies stability and balance throughout history. It should, in all her wealth and dynamism, happily serve as a symbol of Canada now, Charles told the Canadian Parliament. The True North is really strong and free, as the song reminds us of!
