Bangladesh minority group slams govt over alow action against preparators of recent attacks
A minority group in Bangladesh criticizes the government for its slow motion against AP proxies.

The largest minority group in the country, the Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council, is outraged over the number of arrests in a new assault on minority communities in Dohor Moshiahati, Jashore. No offenders have been detained in the five times since the event, the group claimed on Wednesday in a statement. Despite a event being filed, no victims have been detained. ” Miscreants murdered Tariqul Islam, a leader of the Krishak Dal, on May 22, 2025, at around 5:30 PM at Piltu Biswas ‘ residence in the Dohor Moshiakathi village under Abhaynagar Upazila in Jashore District,” according to Piltu Biswas. According to local sources, Tariqul Islam and several other people were discussing the license of a tuna enclosure shortly before the murder, according to the statement. A group of assailants physically assaulted community members, looted goods, vandalized homes, set them on fire, and physically assaulted families in 20 minority neighborhoods. The majority group claims that the officials have not taken sufficient activity in the wake of a death in the area. Around 6:30 PM, a group of assailants violently assaulted 20 majority people in the area’s neighborhoods right after the death. The perpetrators physically assaulted the community members, vandalized houses, set them on fire, and looted belongings. At the time, loud music and drum were playing at the Matua community’s annual religious festival at Mohitosh Biswas ‘ home. According to organizers, meals had been planned for about 700 individuals following the religious rites, the statement said. 20 families were left without after the attack, with some women apparently being assaulted physically. Additionally, the attackers destroyed important documents, including scientific records, national identity cards, and house deeds. The attackers burned the homes, leaving 20 people without access to their valuables, after looting all of their belongings. Many women apparently experienced actual assault. Most of these individuals’ female members have reportedly fled the area because they are afraid and have since gone into hiding. Family people have been informed that their property deeds, national identification cards, and children’s scientific records have been burned to ashes,” it said. A group from the Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council’s key commission traveled to the event page on May 27, 2025. Milon Kanti Dutta, Acting General Secretary Monindra Kumar Nath, Acting General Secretary Monindra Kumar Nath, Acting General Secretary Shimul Saha, Joint General Secretary Shyamal Kumar Kundu, Organizing Secretary Sudipto Sharma, Jashore District Unity Council President Santosh Kumar Dutta, Joint General Secretary Sanjoy Rasel Mondal, Organizing Secretary Timir Ghosh Joy, and Abhaynagar Upazila Unity Council President Shan The Acting General Secretary spoke with the Jashore Superintendent of Police following the visit and pleaded with him to immediately apprehend those responsible for the violence, bring them to justice, ensure appropriate punishment, and compensate the victims ‘ families. He also demanded that the government take the necessary steps to retrieve or renew the important documents that were lost in the fire. ” No arrests have been made in the case filed by Kalpana Biswas regarding the problems on minority houses, despite one being made in connection with the murder circumstance of Tariqul Islam,” according to the statement. The Unity Council leaders “have expressed profound discontent and serious concern over this inaction,” according to the speech.
