
Rick Derringer, a classic rock guitar and” Real National,” passed away. He was 77 years older.
His long-time family Jenda Derringer claimed he passed away “peacefully” at a hospital in Ormond Beach, Florida, after being taken off life aid following a heart-related health emergency. Jenda Derringer, Jenda Derringer, told TMZ. He apparently had a quad pass two months ago.
The McCoys, whose song” Drop on Sloopy,” was a No. 1 hit at the time, were the Ohio native’s second. 1 struck in 1965. He later appeared in his bands with Edgar and Johnny Winters, appearing on classic rock radio shows like” Frankenstein” and” Frankenstein,” and then another No. 1 strike.
He and Cyndi Lauper both collaborated on” Weird Al” Yankovic, Todd Rundgren, Alice Cooper, Barbara Streisand, and toured extensively. He performed the guitar solo on Jim Steinman‘s frequent partner, Bonnie Tyler ,’s song” Total Eclipse of the Heart.”
Derringer’s single single” True American,” which Derringer wrote for the World Wrestling Federation and later became Hulk Hogan’s theme song for a while, was his own. On the song, Lapher provided backing lyrics.
On August 5, 1947, Richard Dean Zehringer was born in Celina, Ohio. In the late 1950s, he and his nephew Randy started making songs together. The McCoys, their circle, were chosen by a group of record producers to produce” Drop on Sloopy,” which has since become a well-liked in-stadium anthem at Cleveland Guardians and Ohio State football games.
Later in his profession, he joined star-studded teams on trips with Ringo Starr and Peter Frampton, and he finally released more than 25 songs, including many blues and jazz Albums.
He and his wife produced some Christian-themed albums after a late-life change.
