Previous GOP New York representative Michael Grimm received a full pardon on Wednesday from President Donald Trump, according to a source with knowledge who spoke to the Washington Examiner.
Grimm represented Staten Island and pieces of Brooklyn in Congress from 2011 to 2015. He admitted tax scams in 2014 and eventually made the announcement that he would step down from the Congress.
After losing to previous Republican New York Rep. Dan Donovan in the GOP primary, he attempted a rebound in 2018 with a failed victory.
Martin AND Lucy CHRISLEY, AND WHY DID TRUMP PARDOON THEM?
The person who provided the information confirmed that Trump also pardoned James and Marlene Kernan, both of whom were found guilty of willfully employing a murderer.
Todd and Julie Chrisley, who were found guilty of bank fraud and tax avoidance in 2022, were pardoned by Trump the day before.
This is a developing tale.
