‘Faithful Christians’ can support gay marriage, evangelical seminary leaders say

According to Fuller Theological Seminary, it still holds the doctrine that relationship is between a single man and single person.

Some Christian researchers are concerned about the way the protestant school will take in the future based on a statement made about gay marriage by Fuller Theological Seminary leaders.

According to the Religion News Service, the convent, which is based in Pasadena, California, recently reiterated its position that union is” a union between a man and a person and sexual intimacy within that union.”

However, a letter from the Rev., chairman of the monastery, was sent. According to David Goatley to students, the Board of Trustees recognizes that “faithful Christians” does have a different viewpoint.

Some Christian scientists saw the claim as a detachment from the biblical truth.

At Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Missouri, Thomas Kidd, a teacher of religion story, said he thinks the statement is the first step in the direction of Fuller abandoning its location on marriage and gender.

Without a significant program correction, you can be certain that Fuller may prevent hiring those who support traditional marriage, Kidd wrote on X.

Ed Stetzer, the professor of Biola University, a reformed Christian school in California, shared his issues.

If history serves as our guide, he wrote just at Church Leaders,” If history is our guide, this difficult decision will be one of a series of steps moving further away from orthodoxy,” before eventually adding,” And to be clear, affirming same-sex marriage is outside the bounds of bible orthodoxy.

According to Stetzer, the monastery appears to be” splitting the baby,” which “would essentially allow Fuller to officially align itself with the orthodox view—while also recognizing the validity of unorthodox ideas of other organizations and faiths.”

However, Stetzer claimed that there is no middle ground between marriage and gender in the Bible.

In contrast, Denny Burk, a teacher at Boyce College, a Southern Baptist organization in Kentucky, wrote on X that the speech and Goatley’s security number to “permission to recognize what God abominates.”

Goatley claimed that the Board of Trustees made the decision after times of” conversation, opinions, and speech” in an email sent last week to students.

The trustees “reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to its ancient philosophical understanding of marriage and individual sexuality,” Goatley wrote at their May 18 and May 19 meeting.

We also acknowledge that steadfast Christians have come to affirm different covenantal forms of relationships, he wrote, through devout reflection, religious discernment, and lived experience.

Moreover, he added,” Fuller Seminary has generally avoided intellectual opposites. We are always looking for a new, more meaningful way to serve the chapel and the universe, such as in Fuller.

Goatley also addressed the criticism made last week at Church Leaders by reiterating Fuller’s contention that “faithful Christians” may disagree on issues of marriage and gender.

We acknowledge that faithful Christians have come to differing opinions about covenantal connections, he wrote in his letter.

This statement “does not diminish our commitment to traditional Christian teaching,” Goatley wrote, “reflects our effort to engage complicated realities with religious integrity and pastoral sensitivity.”

” Interesting today’s complex problems calls for a faithful, often unrequited, commitment to the Bible, the cross, conversion, and people witness. Some adherents of the standard Christian conception of marriage, but also enjoy and pay attention to relatives, friends, and relatives who have different viewpoints,” he wrote.

Further: Ed Dept. falls a$ 37 million good against Christian University after” no conclusions” of sin.
