The recall warned Foreign men in Bangladesh against being misled by cross-border dating information on video platforms, but no such relationship agency is permitted by Chinese law. According to Global Times, they should reconsider purchasing a foreign woman and consider it before getting married in Bangladesh, the military states. No person is permitted to carry out or conceal relationship in cross-border wedding matchmaking services through deception or for gain, according to Chinese law, and no wedding company is prohibited from doing so under the influence of fraud or for profit. Foreign residents are advised to stay away from cross-border business marriages and keep an eye out for online relationship schemes to protect both financial and personal deficits. According to the military, victims of such frauds should immediately report to the common safety authorities in China. The ambassador cautioned that anyone engaged in illegal cross-border relationships in Bangladesh may be detained on suspicion of smuggling because Banglesh has strict laws on human trafficking as well. The official in Bangladesh has warned that if a person is detained on suspicion of human trafficking, it may take as long as centuries before the policeman file their case to the court for a sentence. According to an independent review, China has a glut of 35 million people who are unable to get weddings as a result of China’s one-child scheme, which caused a paucity of women as girls were abandoned or aborted. According to the report, the number of wedding filings has also decreased significantly, with 6.1 million marriage licenses recorded in 2024 compared to 7.7 million in 2023.
