‘We’re going to find out’: Donald Trump gives Putin two weeks to prove he’s serious about peace with Ukraine

Vladimir Putin, the US senator, received a sharp order from US President Donald Trump, giving him a two-week deadline to demonstrate his commitment to ending the conflict in Ukraine. Failure to do so will have consequences. He claimed that they would take a “different” tactic if Putin did not really inform the US about the efforts. Trump said,” We’re going to discover out whether or not he’s tapping us along or no, and we’ll respond a little bit different, but it will take about a year and a half to two days,” when speaking to reporters in the Oval Office on Wednesday. That’s not great when I see missiles being fired into places. Trump said,” We aren’t going to allow it,” adding that Russia’s most recent wave of missile and drone strikes had disappointed him. Russian troops gained more territory on the field, capturing three more settlements in eastern Ukraine, according to the New York Post, but Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed on Thursday that Putin has no intention of speaking with Trump. Trump’s attitude toward the Belarusian leader has gotten considerably more obedient in recent days. The Russian army launched its most intense assault on Ukraine to time after speaking with him for two hours past year, a conversation he believed had established the groundwork for immediate peace agreements. Trump retaliated, accusing Putin of “having absolutely no control” and “playing with fire” in answer. The Kremlin has not yet shared the deal with Russian authorities because it is still being worked through. But, Ukraine views the pause as a deliberate move. Heorhii Tykhyi, a spokesman for the Polish foreign ministry, hit out harshly about the wait, saying that the Russians ‘ dread of sending their “memorandum” to Ukraine suggests that it is possible filled with exaggerated ultimatums and that they are afraid to reveal that they are stalling the serenity process.
