In Sevier County, Utah, earlier this month, a dog found the remains of a mutilated human foot inside a foot, prompting authorities to look into whether or not the human bones are connected to a missing persons case from 1997.
On May 16, a man and his canine were walking along the shoreline of Utah’s Fish Lake when the dismembered human feet remains were discovered, according to Fox 13.
Sevier County Sheriff Nathan Curtis reported that the dog’s owner saw what “appeared to be a spine in the foot” after picking up the foot his dog discovered.
According to Curtis,” Police responded and discovered the remains of what appeared to be the remains of a mortal foot inside the shoe.” The Utah Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed that the shoe that the puppy found contained a mutilated human feet, according to ABC 4.
The Sevier County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that” no other evidence was found to show where the legs came from,” even though a search was conducted along the shore of Utah’s Fish Lake only one day after the human remains were discovered.
According to Fox 13’s report, cops have indicated that David M. White, who vanished while fishing on Fish Lake in September 1997, may be the owner of the human remains. According to the store, White’s body was not discovered by law enforcement.
According to a report from Deseret News , officers believed White may have fallen into the lake’s facility without a career jacket when he was last seen.
Sevier County Sheriff’s Lt. Delbert Lloyd stated to reporters that the lake is strong, and it was too strong for the three fishermen we sent in after a failed attempt to locate White’s missing system. Simply put, it was too gloomy and black.
Police officers have indicated that they have a DNA test from one of White’s babies and are going to have it tested to see if there is a relationship with the base remains that were found, according to Fox 13. The outlet noted that law enforcement officials have confirmed that there are no other recognized reports of people who are still believed to be missing close to Fish Lake.
