As the U.S. war expands its military presence in the area as tensions increase with China, the U.S. Marine Corps is holding a significant training there.

A video from a U.S. Marine Corps workout in Australia that included both American and Asian troops was released on Thursday via CBS News. According to the shop, American troops are participating in Exercise Southern Jackaroo as enemy combatants.
Exercise Southern Jackaroo, which is being conducted in a place larger than the state of Maryland, is being conducted by over 500 Soldiers and more than 2, 000 full forces, according to CBS News.

Brigadier Ben McLennan, chief of the Australian Defence Force’s 3rd Brigade, acknowledged that the martial training is a “rehearsal” for a possible battle while the United States and its allies are using it as a deterrent for Chinese aggression in the Indo-Pacific area.
