Rodney Shippy, 58, fatally shot his 10-year-old child and the home dog before committing suicide inside their home. After family reported Rodney’s 20-year-old child, Alyssa Shippy, missing since November, police made the terrible revelation on Wednesday while issuing a seek warrant. Initial discoveries by investigators included the body of Rodney, his brother Logan, and the dog. Afterward, the same house where Alyssa’s body was discovered. Her bones were not immediately obvious because of the house’s state, according to police. A medical examiner is trying to determine her cause of death. Lisa Shippy, Rodney’s family, passed away in her own at the same home in August 2022.
