'Some notes and amendments': Hamas responds to US-brokered ceasefire proposal demanding changes

Hamas responded to the most recent peace plan for Gaza, saying it is looking to change important aspects of the offer. These revisions were requested in light of US guarantees, the release of hostages, the distribution of aid, and the Israeli forces ‘ departure, according to a senior official from the organization. According to the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the negotiations are sensitive,” there are some notes and amendments to some points, particularly regarding the US guarantees, the schedule of captive launch, the distribution of aid, and the withdrawal of Jewish forces,” the official said, speaking on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the negotiations. Hamas confirmed in a separate statement that the plan calls for a permanent peace, the complete removal of Israeli forces from the area, and a secure flow of humanitarian aid. In exchange for a certain number of Israeli prisoners, the agreement stipulated that 10 victims who were still alive and 18 others ‘ body would be exchanged for them. Israel has previously approved the US’s prepare for a 60-day ceasefire in warfare. Diplomats are “on the verge of reaching a bargain,” according to US President Donald Trump. The 58 captives who are still being held in Gaza may be subject to the terms of the ceasefire, including the gradual release of some of the 58 hostages, the release of Arab prisoners, and the immediate delivery of meals and help. As Gaza’s charitable situation deteriorated, the intensity of the talks grew worse. According to the UN World Food Program ( WFP), residents who were in desperate need of food intercepted 77 trucks, mostly filled with flour, before getting to distribution centers. Despite a new increase in aid, the WFP claimed that the almost three-month Israeli embargo has put Gaza’s population of over two million people on the verge of famine. The agency noted it has over 140, 000 metric tons of food available, enough to supply the area for two months.” We need to storm communities with foods for the next few days to relax the anxieties and restore the trust with communities that more food is coming. A witness in Khan Younis described obscene scenes, telling the AP that thousands of people, many of them with bags of flour, had blocked a UN convoy at a temporary roadblock. Additionally, he added that a forklift was once employed to unload pallets at one time. Israel has previously been criticized by the UN for forcing aid organizations to travel through military-controlled areas where armed gangs operate and aid convoys have been targeted. On October 7, 2023, Hamas launched an attack on Israel, killing roughly 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and holding roughly 250 hostages, which marked the start of the 20th-century conflict. Among those, 58 are still present in Gaza. Israel thinks that 35 of them are deceased. Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, has stated that there are “dumps” surrounding the fate of a number of others.
