'Devil in the Ozarks' on Loose: Killer ex-cop has a dangerous edge as he knows exactly how police think

Experts warn the fugitive’s law enforcement background may give him a dangerous advantage as he searches for a former Arkansas authorities commander who escaped from prison on Sunday. Grant Hardin, 56, who was once the police chief of Gateway, Arkansas, vanished from the medium-security incarceration in Calico Rock less than 30 days before prison guards noticed he was missing. The convicted criminal and murderer, known as the” Devil in the Ozarks,” is regarded as armed and extremely risky. Eric Brown, a 24-year veteran of the US military special forces and CEO of Imperio Consulting, said,” He has a working knowledge of law enforcement techniques, police exercises, and how search activities are generally structured. That gives him an original advantage. He is aware of the thoughts of law enforcement. ” Believe like a fugitive” is a phrase that has been increased by authorities throughout Stone County, south of the Ozark Mountains. In addition to the rugged terrain, law enforcement teams are using K-9 units, thermal imaging, and drones to observe Hardin. ” Officials are looking out for broken-ins, provide incidents, and strange chatter,” Brown said. The Stone County sheriff’s office shared photos of Hardin walking through a sally harbor while dong a prison-style dress, which officials claimed was not a common occurrence. The Arkansas corrections department has not yet disclosed how Hardin managed to bypass safety. Dr. Angelo Brown, a professor of sociology at Arkansas State University, said Hardin’s previous experience as a policeman captain may also indicate that he still has “ties to law enforcement officials who may help him” and is unlikely to commit simple issues like using payment cards or contacting home. FBI offers$ 20, 000 reward for information leading to Hardin’s captureThe FBI has joined the search and has joined the search. Authorities claim he has connections to Garfield, Eureka Springs, Holiday Island, and Huntsville, and that, for the time being, he may still be in the general area. ADC communications director Rand Champion stated in a press conference on Wednesday that” all it takes is one vehicle for him to travel a great distance.” However, as of right now, we think he’s still close by. Chamberon urged the public to view Hardin as a “very dangerous individual,” noting that there is a real chance he might commit additional crimes while on the run. An incident that has raised the barrage of scrutiny on prison security systems across the South, occurred just two days after 10 inmates broke out of a correctional facility in New Orleans. A 6-foot, 259-pound white man, according to authorities. Anyone with information is asked to dial 1-800-CALL-FBI to report an information to the FBI tip line. Brown remarked,” This man has the skills to vanish and a violent history.” He’s not the kind of man you want to be forever free, and the clock is ticking.
