According to a representative from the Trump administration, Mohammed Sabry Soliman, the suspect in the Sunday assault on eight persons in Boulder, Colorado, is an illegal immigrant who entered the country while under the Biden administration but failed to leave when his card expired.
Soliman, 45, was identified by Boulder police as a native of El Paso County, Colorado, on Sunday. Administration officials confirmed on Monday that he lacked immigration position and was not a citizen of the United States.
Soliman would have been granted a B2 nonresident card, which would have allowed him to partially remain in the country.
Soliman’s country of origin was never provided by the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or the White House. Soliman is reportedly an Egyptian, according to reports.
Soliman had “illegally overstayed” a holiday card, according to White House deputy chief of staff for legislation Stephen Miller.
According to CNN, Soliman officially requested legal papers in September of that year and was granted them in March of that year. His work authorization lasted for two decades.

Soliman is even alleged to have attempted to enter the United States in 2025, but was turned down.
Soliman was quickly detained by the local authorities, and he has since been charged with several felonies for allegedly igniting a terrorist attack with a flamethrower. After on Monday, he will appear in court.
