The average price for regular oil nationwide dropped on Monday to$ 3.141 per litre to begin the year.

This increases in gas prices follows a new trend that started after Memorial Day weekend. According to AAA, Monday’s gas prices were less than a week ago, when the price was$ 3.179. During the vacation weekends, a small increase in oil prices was anticipated, but it never quite materialized. Before and during the trip, which is customarily regarded as the unofficial start of summer, the price of a quart of regular gasoline remained constant both before and during the trip.

By Memorial Day weekend Sunday, that cost had fallen to$ 3.18 per gallon. That price is significantly higher than what is currently available. Nevertheless, it was a significant decrease compared to the gas prices from the Memorial Day weekend in 2024. Therefore, AAA reported that the average national rate was$ 3.59 per gallon. The lowest gasoline costs for Memorial Day weekend this year since 2021.

The average price for a gallon of regular gasoline was$ 3. 536, but prices on Monday were significantly lower than they were a year ago. The average gas price for a gallon of regular gasoline was$ 3.18, but today’s price is even lower than it was a month back. In addition, the cost was the same as that of Memorial Day weekends. If gasoline prices stay at this present degree as they head into the summer period, lower gas costs may help boost tourism and summer travel.

In the last six weeks, oil prices have fluctuated. Fuel costs have increased and decreased since Christmas, with average prices in December ranging from close to$ 3 per gallon to nearly$ 3.30 per gallon in the winter and Memorial Day weekend. These cost changes were caused by a number of political factors, including changes in national administrations and trade, as well as wars in the Middle East and Ukraine. However, the main factor in determining how much fuel a person will spend is typically the position where they reside.

The state along the Pacific Coast and Hawaii are where the country’s oil prices are most expensive. In contrast, the Gulf of America state have the lowest prices for gas.

TRUMP’s US STEEL DEAL IS A WIN-WIN FOR AMERICA

California has the dubious distinction of having the nation’s highest average nationwide fuel prices. People of the Golden State pay$ 4.775 per gallon on average for regular gasoline in the state. Hawaii follows, costing the regular$ 4. 478 per gallon on the provincial level. With an average cost of$ 4. 398, Washington state has the third-highest gas prices in the nation. The following two states ‘ average statewide prices are no longer below$ 4 per gallon. A gallon of regular gas costs$ 3.991 in Oregon, while it costs$ 3.382 in Nevada.

The Mississippi gasoline prices are the lowest in the nation. The state average for the express on Monday is$ 2. 648 per gallon. Texas and Tennessee are the next two states with an average cost per gallon of$ 2.709. Alabama and Louisiana, both at$ 2. 717 per gallon, round out the five states with the least expensive fuel costs in the nation this year.
