Many vehicles collided in central Gatlinburg on Sunday, leaving at least six people injured, according to local media reports. The incident took place on the 700 block of Parkway, between traffic signals 6 and 8, at around 4 p.m., according to ABC affiliate WATE, with five automobiles involved, according to Wlos. The aftereffects of the multi-vehicle crash was captured in a number of videos shared online. Air carriers were opened in a number of cars that were seen damaged. According to a report from WATE, the Gatlinburg Police Department confirmed that three people had been transported by air to the University of Tennessee Medical Center and three others had been transported by emergency. A blocked street with many broken vehicles, with some having mounted the road, was revealed from visual information from the event site. According to WATE, the Tennessee Highway Patrol and the Gatlinburg authorities are conducting inquiries into the affair.
