The Kanishka drama, in honor of the victims of the 1985 Air India bombing, has been requested by two Indian-Canadian companies. The British Columbian primere David Eby and the Khilsa Diwan Society and North American Hindus Association wrote a letter to the American Primere, demanding a chapel ceiling, mirror garden, a common understanding center, education initiatives, and spaces for reflection and dialogue. The organization called on the government to honor the voices of some British Columbians in a speech and commit to the construction of a Kanishka Memorial and Learning Center there. The Kanishka Memorial and Learning Centre serves as a strong statement of our shared values as well as a place of storage as well as a living example of the tenacity of our societies. Each of the 331 life lost will be honored on a memorial wall and a mirror yard, which will offer comfort and healing to the families who have been affected.
