A bill proposed by Ohio politicians may prevent some green card holders from specific places from purchasing property across the state. The bill adheres to America First policy, Ohio state representative Angel King ( R ), one of the sponsors of the bill, told Newsweek. The existing green card holders who already have a home are didn’t buy a new home within the president’s outlined 25-mile circle, King said. Introduced by Representatives King and Roy Klopfenstein, House Bill 1, seeks to control who can be a land user. ” This is about protecting our obligation to keep our strength channels, water treatment plants, and fuel lines safe from surveillance and espionage”, King said. The aim is to save Ohio land from international members especially from countries like China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela and Syria within 25 yards of” important system”. The expenses exempts American people or those with twin citizen from the ban. Under the act, the listing of land that would slide under “protected property” is huge. It includes any rail house, a bridge operating by the state or federal authorities, and shipping stations. The act also includes terminals, military bases and land. County deputies may be responsible for enforcing the new regulations. If the policy passes, persons subject to the restriction may be required to sell restricted home within two years. Similar rules exist in Florida and Texas but they also faced complaints and national conversation. ” The act is part of a broader nationwide push to address issues about foreign property equity tied to national security. But, as already written, the legislation would create striking limitations that affect far more than high-risk transactions, including regular home purchases”, Ohio Realtors said.
