The Trump Administration is” committed to protecting cultural protection recipients who frequently rely on a set income,” according to Reuters. The Department will start educating consumers about cheap loan payment options and assist them in establishing good standing in the forthcoming days.

Trump administration officials declined to provide payment choices that they intend to provide borrowers.

CNBC obtained a report on the government’s policy change on Tuesday evening, in which Carolina Rodriguez, the director of the Education Debt Consumer Assistance program, cautioned against the continuation of selections on defaulted loans.

She told CNBC,” Repayment of their Social Security benefits may mean not having enough money to pay for food, vehicles to medical meetings, or other standard needs.”
