A federal prosecutor ordered that those deported from El Salvador‘s CECOT jail have a chance to challenge their imprisonment.
According to U.S. District Court Chief Judge James Boasberg, “at least 137” workers who were detained in March were not able to battle both their removal from the country and their claims that they were Tren de Aragua crew members.
He claimed that” significant information” has been presented that many of the people imprisoned aren’t group members,” and linger on flimsy, even frivolous, charges” in a foreign prison.

Boasberg provided the Trump administration with a means of bringing up the claims made against the imprisoned workers who were held in El Salvador.
However, the judge ruled that he had accepted the Trump administration’s say that El Salvador was the country’s legal representative.
