Five Proud Boys, a group that represents far-right activists, are suing the US government for$ 100 million, alleging that their constitutional rights were violated as a result of their arrest for allegedly being involved in the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021. FBI agents and federal prosecutors are accused of political bias and wrongdoing in the complaint filed Friday in Florida. The people, Henry” Enrique” Tarrio, Ethan Nordean, Joseph Biggs, Zachary Rehl, and Dominic Pezzola, claim they were targeted because of their help for US President Donald Trump. The mob, which sought to halt past president Joe Biden’s victory in the 2020 election, was plotted or carried out by all five of the defendants. After being found guilty of subversive crime and other costs, they were given a 22-year word, with Tarrio receiving the longest sentence of their sentences. As part of a flood of roughly 1,500 clemency he issued on Inauguration Day, Trump earlier this year pardoned or commuted the group members ‘ words. Trump once said,” These people have been destroyed.” What they have done to these folks is ridiculous. The lawsuit makes allegations of “egregious and widespread abuse of the legal system,” as well as “accidents of witness intimidation and evidence tampering.” According to the report, their trial was” corruption and politically inspired,” with the goal of punishing Trump’s political allies. The lawsuit is directed at the justice ministry, which is currently under the Trump administration’s control, attorney general Pam Bondi. The situation has not yet been made public by the ministry. More than 1,500 people have been charged with the Capitol rebellion as of January. More than 600 people are accused of using dangerous weapons and attempting to assault or repress officers. Trump has defended the events of January 6 by calling it a “day of like,” while opposition figures, including past house speaker Nancy Pelosi, have criticized the pardons as a significant blow to the justice system.
