Symptoms of de-escalation are beginning to show up after weeks of strong markets and rising conflicts between US President Donald Trump and Elon Musk, the richest person in the world. When asked if he would talk with Musk immediately on Monday, Trump appeared to strike a diplomatic voice. A reporter asked a reporter at a White House press conference,” Do you plan to call Elon Musk soon ?” Trump responded,” Um… I haven’t actually thought about it at all. I do assume he wants to speak with me. I would want to talk with him if I were him. Perhaps he’s now been called. You would have to question him. Ask him if he has previously called. However, I’d not have any issues with it.” He continued,” We had a good marriage and I just wish him well, pretty well truly.” The remarks come after a heated exchange between the two strong numbers. Mussk, a former top unofficial adviser to the Trump administration, officially broke with the president last month over the president’s extensive local legislation, dubbed the Big, Beautiful Bill, which Is harshly criticized. Muss claimed, without any supporting facts, that the mayor’s name appeared in documents pertaining to Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender, and that he had also falsely accused Trump of lying. He made the suggestion that the government was keeping those files. Trump was warned that he would act if Musk supported Democratic candidates when Musk suggested starting a new political movement called” the American Party.” But, tensions started to ease up within a moment. One of the incendiary articles that connected Trump to Epstein was deleted by Mussk. Additionally, he added British flag emojis to a speech from Trump about the immigration protests in Los Angeles, which is seen by many as an olive tree. Trump made it clear that he is not halting coming dialogue despite their common dispute. His assertion that he wouldn’t be surprised if Musk had now reached out suggests a potential resumption of communication between the two former friends.
