On Monday, US President Donald Trump heightened his open fae with California governor Gavin Newsom, suggesting the Democrat may be detained. In response to the growing immigration demonstrations in Los Angeles, the MAGA chairman accused Newsom of being a missed head. In response to a reporter’s inquiry into what violence Newsom had committed to permit arrest, Trump responded,” I think his main crime is running for governor because he’s done for a bad job. The statement came after a weekend of rising conflicts after Trump sent hundreds of National Guard troops to Los Angeles without the government’s permission.” What he’s done to that condition is like what Biden’s done to this state,” the statement read. Trump appeared to support former immigration national Tom Homan’s new remarks about perhaps arresting Newsom on the South Lawn when he arrived at the White House from Camp David on Monday. If I were Tom, I would do it. I think it’s fantastic, Trump told investigators. Trump’s comment immediately received a video of his response on Instagram, which Newsom rapidly responded with, calling it a turning point for the nation. He wrote,” The President of the United States only demanded that a sitting Governor be arrested.” ” This is a time I hoped I would never see in America,” she said. This is a collection we cannot cross as a country, regardless of whether you’re a Republican or Democrat; it’s an undeniable step toward authoritarianism. He continued,” These are the acts of a dictator, not a president,” adding that there had been” no discussion” about the arrests of Newsom or Los Angeles mayor Karen Bass, despite his earlier claim that” no one is above the law.” He emphasized that the Trump administration would pursue criminal offenses, such as breaking up with national agents or damaging home. House Speaker Mike Johnson backed Trump’s statements and the implementation of national army. The federal government has the authority to intervene if the state and local officials are unable or willing to do so, Johnson said. Trump has changed his mind, claiming that the situation in California warranted national action despite previous claims that governors had request governor deployments. The biggest change from that assertion is that we have an ignorant governor, he told reporters. Soon after Trump’s remarks, Twentynine Palms ‘ 700 Marines were confirmed by authorities to have been dispatched to Los Angeles. Their distinct function has not yet been identified. Additionally, the Pentagon confirmed that Trump announced the arrival of 2, 000 additional National Guard personnel in Los Angeles. According to Newsom, the position was suing the Trump administration for what he claimed was the National Guard’s improper federalization. The contract he signed doesn’t only apply to CA. It may allow him to enter ANY STATE and carry out the exact actions,” Newsom said.
