Russia launched yet another significant drone attack on Ukraine, hitting Kyiv and injuring a maternity unit in Odesa’s southern port, according to reports from local authorities on Tuesday.
Russia launched the largest helicopter strike against Ukraine on Monday, prompting the over strikes, according to Reuters reports. This is part of Moscow’s increased military responsibilities, which it says are in response to Ukraine’s most recent strong incursions into Russian territory. As Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported via Telegram, health teams responded to situations in four Kyiv regions, including the ancient Podil area. A 59-year-old man was killed and four others were injured in the Odesa aircraft assault, according to governor Oleg Kiper, who posted a message on Telegram to BBC. Military personnel stated that the problems were going on and urged people to seek shelter. Initial perceptions of the assault’s full scope remained hazy. According to Timur Tkachenko, Kyiv’s military leadership chief, “enemy drones are instantly attacking many districts of the city.” There are fires and damage to personal structures. According to Oleh Kiper, the provincial government, a significant drone strike struck an emergency health service, a maternity ward, and private structures in Odesa’s southern port, according to a post on Telegram. Kiper confirmed that there were no injuries at the pregnancy doctor, and that both team members and patients were able to leave safely. He shared images of structural damage to some buildings, as well as broken windows in what appeared to be a medical center. Both sides of the conflict, which has been continuing for more than three years, claim to prevent hitting human targets. But, the conflict has left a large number of civilian casualties, primarily Ukrainian ones.
