Catholic League claims that the chairman of the music department and the school have not responded to the letter.

An advocacy group sent a demand letter to the audio department director of the university of Nebraska in response to The College Fix‘s new statement about a graduate person’s drag show presentation mocking the Catholic Mass.

Since writing the letter on June 2, Catholic League President William Donohue has never received a response from the organization or Professor Felix Olschofka, the Glenn Korff School of Music producer.

I’ve been a table member of the National Association of Scholars for 20 years and have taught at a university for 16 years, according to Donohue, who told The Fix that school officials are not legally required to respond to complaints about employees or students who engage in unethical behavior. &nbsp,

He added that “files are generally kept on like matters,” so it is highly unlikely that such problems are ignored.

It is anticipated that my objection against the University of Nebraska will also be taken into account by contacting the accrediting figure, the Higher Learning Commission, Donohue said. &nbsp,

Donohue criticized the graduate student’s performance as a” major work of anti-Catholic bigotry” in a letter addressed to Professor Olschofka.

The last recital of his songs level, according to reports, took place at Lincoln’s Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church. Central components of the Mass were debased, Donohue wrote, and it was a vicious achievement that mocked the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.

Academic freedom is important, but it’s also “open to abuses.” He wrote,” Trashing a world faith definitely would qualify.”

Most students do legitimately protest if a student criticized Jewish or Muslim beliefs in order to fulfill course requirements, he added. The exact value belongs to Catholic students.

That is why professors who are to blame for approving this flagrant illustration of anti-Catholic intolerance must be held accountable, Donohue wrote.

The Fix contacted Professor Felix Olschofka, Glenn Korff School of Music, and UN internet connections to find out what they had to say in response to the letter. No one responded.

Joseph Willette, a graduate student, was contacted by The Fix before, but many inquiries failed to return.

Willette did, however, discuss The Fix‘s cover of his recital in a new Instagram video.

He claimed that” Mass of Perpetual Indulgence,” my doctoral document’s performance, has recently received a lot of negative feedback.

Willette said,” My size is a queer spiritual tradition that is concerned with the forgiveness of queerness gender within the world of spirituality.”

Willette claimed that The Fix reached up to him for comment, but he made the decision to not reply. According to him, the content has attracted the attention of traditional supporters and groups, including the Catholic League.

He exhorted his readers to” never find out these papers.”

A traditional commentator on higher education said the faculty in charge of the performance may be” face scrutiny.”

According to Minding the Campus director Jared Gould, who is also Catholic, the letter “rightly demands responsibilities for professors who sanctioned this academically deep and unpleasant bring achievement.”

    Gould even remarked:

The University of Nebraska if reevaluate the educational standards that made this performance eligible for doctoral-level recognition. For approving what amounts to cliché social theft rather than substantial award, professors who supported this work may be subject to scrutiny. To ensure that potential projects adhere to a higher standard of academic merit, the university may conduct a proper evaluation of the college’s approval process for degree requirements. Users should take note that academics have received much less compensation than they did when they were fired from Hamline University for displaying Prophet Muhammad images in their courses.

Gould claimed that the dignity of the degree is undermined by awarding it for” poor drama that recycles tired themes against the Catholic Church.”

Although postgraduate work should have the ability to generate fresh insights and challenge accepted beliefs, this student’s writing “was neither inventive nor daring.”

Although the student good steered clear, anxious to offend the campus’s prevailing leftist attitudes,” Real innovation would have entail examining another religion,” Gould said.

Similar to Dennis Kellogg, a spokesman for the Catholic Diocese of Lincoln, The Fix&nbsp reported to The Fix&nbsp that the diocese was “certainly upset about the first reports of what appears to be very unpleasant act.” It is “working to obtain more information at this time,” he said. &nbsp,

According to The Fix, Doctoral student Joseph Willette’s recital, which was posted to YouTube next month, imitated several passages of the Mass, including the Kyrie, Gloria, Credo, Sanctus, and Agnus Dei.

A move designer can be seen performing near the front of the church in the film at Lincoln, Nebraska’s Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church while guitarists perform on stage.
