Don't miss it: UAE's Strawberry Moon, last chance until 2043! When & where to see it
The Strawberry Moon will be visible in the UAE from approximately 7:32 PM on June 11 until 5:55 AM on June 12 ( Representational Image ).

The Strawberry Moon, the final total Sun of Spring 2025, is a rare and really beautiful vision that will appear as the sun sets below the horizon on Tuesday. This distinct moon event has a special significance that is confirmed to be present throughout the Emirates, not the least of which because it will be the last time this particular phenomenon will appear so extremely low in the sky until 2043. Monday, June 11, is a chance for anyone who wants to see nature’s great show.

What to Expect and When to Hope The Lunar Entry

The precise days have been properly chosen for this holy show. The Strawberry Moon will be visible in the UAE, according to Khadijah Hasan Ahmed, operations manager at the Dubai Astronomy Group ( DAG ), with moonrise set for 6 p.m. on June 11 and moonset set for 5 a.m. on June 12 according to Khadijah Hasan Ahmed, operations manager at the Dubai Astronomy Group. This generous window of opportunity, which runs from evening twilight until the early morning, provides lots of observing space. Interestingly, Khadijah Hasan Ahmed even confirmed that the Strawberry Moon will be visible throughout the UAE, easing any concerns about where to find it. The best part, she emphasized, is how simple it is to see, not to mention that you don’t need any specific equipment to do so.

Best Landscapes: What Searches to Perform

Simple is essential if residents want the most breathtaking views of this celestial question. You can simply step inside and observe the eastern horizon shortly after the sample at 7:32 PM. If the skies are clear, you can probably see the Strawberry Moon with only your vision. The best places to view are typically large, open spaces like calm beaches, the immensity of the plain, or increased locations with a clear view, according to Khadijah Hasan Ahmed. If you have a clear line of sight to the southeast sky, the Moon can still be seen even in the area. Although using binoculars or telescopes to view the Moon’s area is a wonderful experience, she deliberately added,” Of course, using binoculars or telescopes would definitely increase the view,” promising an even more detailed look at the surface. According to Khadijah Hasan Ahmed, this particular sky event is” a wonderful, easy-to-watch divine event that connects us with the world.” The Strawberry Moon, one of the most aesthetically impressive, frequently appearing larger and more beautiful when it rises, was described by her as the “final full sun of Spring.” However, it’s important to keep in mind that the name of the Strawberry Moon doesn’t necessarily mean the color it is. Despite having a catchy name, it won’t really appear green or red. Its typical color is usually a hot yellow or a beautiful orange, depending on the weather when it’s low on the horizon.

Why not until 2043? A Rare Lunar Standstill

The link to a really extraordinary natural phenomenon, a Great Lunar Standstill, is what makes this Full Strawberry Moon on June 11 so charming and powerful to see why you should not lose it. This important Moon positioning only occurs when every 18.6 years, making tomorrow’s event a particularly uncommon pairing. It will be the Northern Hemisphere’s lowest Full Moon until 2043, according to Khadijah Hasan Ahmed, who used data from the science game Star Walk 2 to explain the phenomenon’s various effects. In contrast, it will be the Southeastern Hemisphere’s highest Full Moon until 2043. This detailed and uncommon position is largely attributable to the main lunar standstill cycle. She clarified,” It’s like the Moon’s edition of a solstice,” making it simple to compare to its own way. For those in the Northern Hemisphere, including the UAE, this special Full Moon on June 11 will be the lowest seen in 18.6 times, to be clear. It will rise and set at its most extreme locations, in the south and southwest. The Southern Hemisphere will experience its highest Full Moon this quarter, with its lowest one occurring in December. This occurs because the Moon’s circle is tilted about 5.1 degrees in opposition to the Earth’s way. The Moon appears at its most extreme opportunities when this bend and Earth’s own 23.4 % bend are combined to form a major stop. The June 11 Strawberry Moon is a rare celestial event that didn’t occur this low again for nearly two decades due to this intricate interplay.
