'Enough is enough': Former Israel PM Ehud Olmert blames Netanyahu for Gaza war; urges Trump to intervene

Past Israeli prime minister Ehud Olmert has attributed Benjamin Netanyahu‘s failure to stop the Palestinian-led Hamas attacks on October 7, 2023, which sparked a deadly war in the middle east. Olmert told Netanyahu, “enough is enough,” Olmert said in an interview with AFP, that US President Donald Trump has step in.” He claimed that Trump had “make a difference” and that the United States has more power over the Jewish government than” all the other forces combined.” ” This is it. I’m hoping Trump did follow his lead. Everything can possibly go wrong with Trump. I’m not sure when this will occur. The former prime minister continued,” We have to expect and we must motivate him.” The US has remained a significant supporter of Israel. It has authorized billions of dollars in the form of weapons and military stock to be sold to Israel, frequently using its reject at the UN to protect Israel from international force. From 2006 to 2009, Olmert served as Israel’s prime minister. He even suggested that Israel may call on Israel to call on the United States to” crime” the ongoing conflict in Gaza and that a two-state option is the only option. He added that while the international community immediately accepted Israel’s claim that the October 7 attacks were self-defenseful, it changed when Netanyahu decided to increase military operations in Gaza rather than end the conflict in March. According to Olmert, Netanyahu “has his private interests prioritized over what might be the national pursuits.” If a battle is going on that isn’t going to keep victims and doesn’t actually do more than what has already been done against Hamas, then, in my opinion, this is a crime, Olmert said. Additionally, he continued,” And this is something that may be condemned and no accepted.” 1, 219 folks died as a result of the Hamas assault on Israel, most of whom were residents, according to an AFP tally based on official statistics. 54 captives are still held by the Palestinian militants in Gaza, of which 32 are said to be dead, according to the Israeli government.

Potential strategy to stop decades-old Middle Eastern hostilities:

By creating a Palestinian state alongside a stable Israel, Olmert and former Israeli foreign minister Nasser Al-Qidwa intend to put an end to the conflict between Israel and Palestinians for years. Both parties had swap 4.4 % of the land, according to the plan. Some of the West Bank’s already-occupied areas may be preserved by Israel. The Palestinians would also receive the land for a potential Palestinian state that is already Israel’s property. Olmert, who will address the strategy with Olmert at a conference in Paris on Tuesday organized by the Jean-Jaurès Foundation think tank, told AFP that the plan is” the only realistic and workable option” even though the conflict is still raging. We will witness a different type of thinking as the conflict comes to an end. We must move forward with the understanding of cooperation between the two parties,” he said. He added that while the Israeli leadership, led by President Mahmud Abbas, has been in power for 20 years, is in place, major progress is not feasible. You must get rid of both. And that will happen, he continued, calling the Arab leadership” corrupt and ineffective.”
