Florida Atlantic U. may be site of Trump Presidential Library, but questions remain

No universities do discuss the possibility of hosting Trump’s collection with The College Fix.

Although the common study institution’s location at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton has not confirmed the reports, the president’s collection may be the site of negotiations.

Despite this, there are still issues about the Trump Presidential Library’s location, and one doctor predicted that the work would take ages to be completed.

According to a statement from the Wall Street Journal over the weekend, Florida Atlantic is regarded as the Republican government’s first choice.

According to the statement,” a person with knowledge of the conversations said that Trump’s team is close to reaching a deal with FAU, which has offered a 100-year lease at no cost,” and that the school is interested in the school during a meeting with Mar-a-Lago lawyers earlier this year.”

The Fix repeatedly asked for comment from the university’s media relations department in recent days about being a possible location for the library, but the university did not respond. Additionally, it did not respond to a follow-up question from Monday regarding the described conversations.

The Fix was directed to the media inquiry section on the White House website by The National Archives, which controls 16 national library. The White House did not respond.

Strategies for the collection are progressing in the interim.

According to the review, Eric and Michael Boulos, the sons of Donald Trump, “recently established a nonprofit to help the library.” Additionally, the Republican president has stated that he wants to turn” a$ 400 million Boeing 747 jet—a gift from Qatar ] into a library tourist attraction.”

A number of other higher education institutions, including Trump’s alma university, the University of Pennsylvania and Florida International University, have also been mentioned as possible library destinations.

The University of Pennsylvania’s media relations crew emailed several times for comment, but it failed to respond. U.S. Senator John Fetterman, of Pennsylvania, the media group, also emailed about a prospective library location on the Ivy League school.

Additionally, Florida International did not respond to numerous letters from The Fix asking about the problem over the past two months.

However, studies suggest that Florida, which is Trump’s position of property, will likely be the place.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Florida lawmakers are “preparing the dark carpet” for President Trump by passing legislation that “gives the state total governmental control over political libraries—and prevents regional governments from possible obstructing the project.”

The Fix repeatedly contacted the company of Daniel Perez, the speech of the Florida House of Representatives, about the possibility of institutions in Florida hosting the collection, but it did not respond.

Jodi Kanter, a professor of theater at George Washington University who wrote a book about political books as a achievement in 2016, did, however, late via email, provide some ideas to The College Fix.

Kanter told The Fix,” The job of a national library is to provide the most beneficial story of a leader’s presidency, whether it be for good or bad.”

The books have been accepted into the national library system, which is run by the National Archives, where those tales have been properly consistent with the historic record, she continued.

Before the report on the agreements between Florida Atlantic University, Kanter said,” It took the Nixon Library 30 times to join this program. I believe the Trump libraries will need to wait longer than that.

Stanley Ridgley, a cousin of the University of Pennsylvania and a professor of management at Drexel University, said he would like to see Drexel create a charge, but that is beyond the power of the hierarchy’s mind.

He told The Fix,” T]he could give the school a big boost and give it a lot of national sparkle.”

Ridgley responded to a question prior to the statement from the Florida Atlantic conversations about why he thought universities were not discussing the library because” no university wants a specific on its back for the next 3.5 years.” He is the author of the book” Terrible Heads,” which raises questions about how liberal ideologies are restraining higher education.

They” all want the library and the money it brings,” he said,” but few want to fight off the illegal aliens, the controversy surrounding the Tesla towers, and the Harvard-vs. fight.” Reporters would follow any school that declares “aye” to the project, he said.

” Getting in front of this may be wonderful for any school,” he said at a time when there is a financial crisis.

The Fix even inquired about hosting Trump’s Presidential Library after his first term in office in 2021, but the organization received no actions.

The National Archives is currently in charge of overseeing the country’s 16 political books. A dozen people run their own businesses.

Some are based at institutions. For instance, Mississippi State University houses the Ulysses S. Grant Presidential Library. Gerald Ford’s collection is at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, and Lyndon Johnson’s is located on the University of Texas at Austin college.

Further: Universities are still hesitant to host Trump’s national library.
