Southwest Colombia was shook by a series of explosions and weapons attacks that on Tuesday appeared to be a planned attack that claimed three lives. Authorities claim that in Cali and three other cities, four vehicles bombs and three different incendiary devices detonated, causing significant damage. In the wake of the blasts, studies claim that buildings were destroyed, storefronts were destroyed, and debris was scattered across the area. Two bombs went off in Cali, according to Carlos Fernando Triana, the police chief, and two bombs that targeted police stations and other provincial houses were reported in Corinto, El Bordo, and Jamundi, respectively. According to an AFP statement, its journalist witnessed the tangled wreckage of a vehicle and a severely ruined tower. No organization or group has so far claimed responsibility for the assault. Rebels are known to run in the area, though. This occurs days after a national candidate’s attempted assassination in Bogota.
