An individual of the U.S. Department of Justice was recently accused of capital murder after reportedly spiking his wife’s drink with an abortion pill.

Justin Anthony Banta, a member of the Department of Justice’s knowledge technology department, was detained on Friday as part of a” capital murder investigation involving a female woman,” according to a media release from the Parker County Sheriff’s Office on Facebook.

The victim claimed that her partner purposefully added” Plan C” ( also known as the abortion medication ) to her drink to force her to have an abortion without her knowledge or consent, according to the press release.

The female victim reported to the Parker County Sheriff’s Office in September of 2024 that she was in a “romantic connection” with Banta when she discovered she was pregnant. The 38-year-old think offered to include the cost of an abortion and suggested placing an online order for the abortion medication after the prey informed Banta that she was pregnant. But, the victim informed Banta that she wanted to keep the child.

The victim was told by a dentist that her child was good when she had a sonogram on October 17 and was only six months along.

Less: Democrats oppose a bill that protects children who were born alive during failed pregnancies.

The victim reported meeting Banta at a coffee shop in Tarrant County after that time, where she raised concerns that Banta had quietly added abortion-inducing pills to her beverage without her knowledge or authorization while they were there, according to the Parker County Sheriff’s Office.

Only one day after meeting Banta at the coffee shop, the sufferer began experiencing “heavy hemorrhaging” and “extreme stress,” according to law enforcement officials, forcing her to visit an emergency room. The woman claimed that Banta, the woman’s alleged boyfriend, put an abortion drug in her drink and that she lost her baby on October 17 to law enforcement.

The Parker County Sheriff’s Office believes that Banta had a remotely accessed cell phone that had been seized by law enforcement as evidence and had to “reset” it to remove” crucial evidence related to the case.”

According to the press release, law enforcement entered the 38-year-old suspect’s felony arrest warrant on Friday and booked him in Parker County Jail. The Texas Rangers and the Parker County Sheriff’s Office have both charged Banda with capital murder and tampering with physical evidence.

Banta’s image has been shared on X, a former Twitter user.
