Prior to the federal investigation, the school opened up a biased system.

The University of Louisville could face federal charges once more for violating Americans ‘ legal rights.

The university is currently facing federal charges under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, according to the Equal Protection Project. The law forbids discrimination based on race.

Six scholarships, especially, are identified in the Legal Insurrection Foundation project’s complaint as being unlawful.

For instance, applicants from white and Asian countries are exempt from applying for the” A&amp, S McSweeny Fellowships,” which are only available to “historically underrepresented ethnic/racial groups.”

The complaint also criticizes the” Watson Family Endowed Scholarship Fund” and the” Dawn Wilson Scholarship for LGBTQ+ Students of Color.” The latter gives “first- or second-generation college students of African-American history” a special treat.

Other scholarships favor Latino kids or “undocumented” candidates.

William Jacobson, a constitutional scholar and activist for civil rights, wrote in a media speech to The College Fix for more feedback.

Jacobson remarked,” It is disheartening that racial unfair scholarships exist at a key public university.” Instead of categorizing individuals based on personality groups, it is time for higher education everyday to concentrate on the intrinsic worth and dignity of each student.

The Equal Protection Project’s leader, Jacobson, claimed that the class” should know better than to administer fellowships that treat individuals different based on race, colour, or national origin.”

The Equal Protection Project calls on the UofL’s top leadership to ensure that all levels of the institution’s lgbt policies are upheld, according to Jacobson, a professor at Cornell University.

He argued that” there is a society on some schools that justifies some forms of racial and ethnic bias,” and that needs to end.

This is not the first day the school has received discrimination complaints. The university agreed in 2022 to understand that the” Yum! Any qualified students who meet the criteria for the Fellowship Fellowship are welcome regardless of race, color, national origin, gender, disability, or age.

As The Fix recently reported, the plan had previously advertised itself as receptive to “underrepresented people of color and women.”

Previous school leaders have bragged about hiring people solely based on race, which had disadvantage bright applicants.

According to The Fix, University of Louisville earmarked$ 2.4 million to use “diverse faculty.”

It was criticized for a science employment posting that directly forbids white and Asian applicants the year before.

Further: HHS’s” Minority Fellowship Program” is under scrutiny.
