‘Mental health professionals’ are ‘rubber-stamping child abuse,’ Daily Wire host says
A lecturer at Mount Saint Mary College in New York is teaching psychiatric nurse practitioner students how to “greenlight” gender-affirming surgeries for dysphoric patients.
“EXCLUSIVE: Why is a supposedly Catholic college teaching nursing students that they need to spay little girls lest they become alcoholics?” Daily Wire Host Michael Knowles wrote in a thread on X Wednesday.
Knowles also posted a video of lecturer Steph Williams, who uses he/him and she/her pronouns, explaining to students why they should chemically stop “puberty in gender-confused kids.”
In the video, Williams tells students that beginning at nine years old, children can begin pubertal suppression, even if they haven’t experienced “dysphoria.”
Patients just have to have a “history of gender incongruence,” he says.

The lecturer says that if it turns out someone is not transgender, they can simply stop taking puberty blockers, and their natural puberty will resume where it left off.
However, Williams omits the potential risks of puberty blockers, including effects on bone density, fertility, and overall health, Knowles stated on X.
Williams also tells future clinicians in the video that they don’t need to fully understand the subject, as the patient has greater insight.
“You do not have to have anywhere near my level of knowledge…. Folks who are trans come into your exam room knowing more than you do. And that’s a good thing,” the lecturer says.
Knowles condemned the professor’s lecture in the X thread, stating “This is ‘gender-affirming care’: Children diagnosed by ideology, puberty treated like a disease. And future nurse practitioners taught that their ignorance is a beneficial feature rather than a bug.”
“The trans agenda hinges on ‘mental health professionals’ approving this ‘care.’ But their standards are incoherent. Far from ‘assessing,’ it seems they’re just rubber-stamping child abuse,” Knowles stated.
Knowles also stated in the X thread that Williams does not have a medical degree. The lecturer is just a “a Director of LGBTQIA+ Relations and AmeriCorps Programming at Sun River Health” and “a certified organizational culture facilitator,” according to his Linkedin page.
On the other hand, some schools are reversing course on “gender-affirming care.”
The University of Pennsylvania’s medical system recently stopped removing healthy organs and body parts from kids who have gender dysphoria, The College Fix previously reported.
New York University’s medical center also announced this year that it has canceled “gender-affirming care” procedures for minors following President Donald Trump’s executive order to stop such treatments.
