A Portland State University professor was suspended and subject to inspection after a brief video clip that appeared on social media read,” I am Hamas… we’re all Hamas” at an off-campus march.
According to a declaration from the school’s President Ann Cudd on June 6, the doctor of Arabic language and literature was placed on left on Friday.
PSU stands unwaveringly against dislike of any kind, including those expressed in this picture, terrorism, and antisemitism. The statements in this movie are “absolutely unethical,” Cutd said.
The university member involved has been on administrative leave, and PSU is looking into this affair.
Although Cudd does not give the scholar’s brand, KOIN Portland and The Oregonian both identified her as Professor Yasmeen Hanoosh of the Department of World Languages and Literatures.
This year, Hanoosh did not respond to a request for comment, and the internet relations department at PSU did not respond to The College Fix.
Hanoosh is spotted speaking at a June 2 protest in a six-second clip that was shared on some pro-Israel social media accounts. His face is blurred and his identity is unknown.
” I am Hamas… We are all Hamas,” the statement read. Yasmeen Hanoosh, a professor of Arabic at a leftist protest in Beaverton, Oregon ( next to Portland ), recorded herself as a Hamas supporter.

You are familiar with Hamas? ” The gentleman inquires.
She listens,” I am Hamas.”
What was the strategy for Hamas, I’m sure? “he asks.
We’re all Hamas, she says, pointing to the group behind her. The movie clip ends right after that.
Hamas has been designated a criminal organization by the United States. The organization is to blame for the death of more than 1,200 Israeli citizens, including children and women, in an attack on October 7, 2023, which prompted the Israeli-Palestinian issue to continue today.
On June 2, a march organized by the Democratic Socialists of America held at the Beaverton School District’s office, reportedly, to demonstrate support for committee member Tammy Carpenter, who is also the subject of an investigation, according to The Oregonian.
According to numerous complaints against Carpenter, she created a hostile environment for Israeli students and families in Beaverton as a result of her unwavering support of Israeli right on her social media accounts.
A crowd of pro-Palestinian protest stormed the college library next spring, painted over surveillance cameras, and vandalized the creating. They clung inside, forcing school to reschedule classes for two days to deal with the crisis.
The U.S. Department of Education announced in February of this year that it was looking into PSU over allegations of racism discrimination.
In her speech, Cudd stated that the university “recognizes” that “events like this one indicate the need for further education, and we offered a completely, one-credit course on racism that was well received by the more than 100 learners who are taking it.”
We intend to give this program to more people in our area. We are dedicated to creating a hate-free school environment.
Further: Portland State didn’t punish pro-Palestinian pupil protesters who stormed libraries.
