More than 500, 000 workers who were enrolled in a Biden-era pardon system for refugees from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela were given termination notices by the Trump administration on Thursday.
Officials from the Department of Homeland Security confirmed that plan enrollees had received notices that their work authorizations and paroles had been revoked right away.
The Biden Administration lied to America, they claimed. More than half a million unvetted foreigners from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela and their immediate families were given the opportunity to compete for American jobs and devalue American workers, were forced to promote the programs yet after fraud was discovered, and then blamed Republicans in Congress for the chaos that ensued and the violence that followed, according to DHS spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin in a speech.
Ending the CHNV pardon programs, as well as the paroles of those who abused them, will require a transfer to common-sense principles, public safety, and America First, she added.
One top DHS official informed the Washington Examiner that the agency’s announcement on Thursday afternoon misled them about President Donald Trump‘s plans to close the program.
White House representatives made no comment on the news on Thursday.
DC’s BIDDEN AUTOPEN USE WAS MORE WIDESPREADED THAN Originally RECORDED.
Former President Joe Biden made a fresh pardon system for Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuelans in 2023. Approximately 530, 000 immigrants were granted parole as part of the system, and Republicans cited the action as part of wider protests against Biden’s overall immigration policies.
Trump signed an executive order ending the program on his first day in office, but the courts fought again. The Supreme Court would eventually grant the government’s efforts to quicken the deportation of program participants.
