After display floods swept away cars and prompted numerous high-water rescue on Thursday in San Antonio, Texas, at least five people died and two are still missing, according to ABC citing local authorities. The flooding took place in the city’s northern area close to Ring 410. According to the arrests of San Antonio Police Chief William McManus and San Antonio Police Officer Nick Soliz, 19 persons perished in the flood. Ten persons were saved by emergency personnel, while two people managed to escape on their own. Four people received minor wounds and were taken to the hospital. At least 15 fast-moving lorries were swept aside by the ocean, and two missing persons are still being sought. Individuals were cautioned by Chief McManus about the consequences of navigating flooded streets. It’s difficult to tell how deep the ocean is and how quickly it moves. And if you walk into it when the water is deep and moving quickly, you’re taking your life into your own arms,” he told ABC.
