Following the incidents of their leaders in Friday’s Jewish attacks, Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, immediately appointed new officials for the Revolutionary Guards and military forces. Mohammad Pakpour was chosen by Khamenei to lead the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in a separate established order, while Abdolrahim Mousavi was appointed to succeed Hossein Salami. Abdolrahim Mousavi was appointed to replace Mohammad Bagheri as the chief of the armed forces public team. In a post on X, Khamenni stated,” In light of Lieutenant General Hossein Salami’s death at the hands of the horrible Zionist plan, and in light of Major General Mohammad Pakpour’s meritorious service and useful knowledge, I appoint him as Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.” Numerous senior Iranian military officers and atomic authorities were killed earlier today during” Operation Rising Lion.” Israeli forces carried out attacks that targeted Iran’s nuclear facilities and foundations throughout the country. Several explosions occurred at Iran’s main uranium processing facility in Natanz, according to local media reports and Iranian media reports. In order to prepare for potential Egyptian counter-strikes, Israel later issued an evacuation status and activated its military causes. General Hossein Salami, who had been the commander-in-chief of the Revolutionary Guards Corps ( IRGC ) since his appointment by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in 2019, was among Iran’s top military leaders who lost their lives in strikes. He died when the IRGC headquarters in Tehran was hit. Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Iran’s highest-ranking defense official and head of the armed forces, was killed as a result of the assault, which was also directly below the Supreme Leader in military power. Abdolhamid Minouchehr, Ahmadreza Zolfaghari, Amirhossein Feqhi, Motalleblizadeh, Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi, and Fereydoun Abbasi were among the six renowned nuclear scientists killed as a result of the attack.
