'That was my wife': Husband of Indian-origin Nirali Sureshkumar Patel, sole Canadian killed in Air India crash, breaks down
Ontario physician Dr Nirali Sureshkumar Patel was on the Air India plane that crashed in Ahmedabad.

Mississauga physician Dr Nirali Sureshkumar Patel was the only Canadian on the unfortunate plane that crashed in India, killing 265. Indian-origin Dr Patel is survived by her father and their 1-year-old child. ” It’s absolutely stunning. There’s no thoughts in this grievance”, group leader Don Patel, told CTV News Toronto on Thursday. Don, who knew Nirali’s home, said she had been in India for four or five days before making her return to Etobicoke. Ontario leading Doug Ford shared his condolences on X. ” I’m saddened to learn that a French from Mississauga, Ontario was among those lost in the horrible Air India crash near Ahmedabad. On behalf of the people of Ontario, I extend my deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of every target. We are keeping you in our thoughts during this challenging time”, the American politician wrote. Dr Nirali’s partner Dr Shukla who declined to give his full title to American media, said his family was there on the airplane. ” That was my family. I am not in a position to respond right today”, he said. Dr Nirali moved to Canada after graduating in India. In Ontario, she was employed at The Heritage Dental Care and chose medicine as a career because” the sense that my job has made a change in one’s life brightens my time”! reads her profile. ” Once per year, Dr. Patel offers free solutions to her clients and often individuals at a completely oral camp”, her profile added. Dr Nirali’s husband and child are in the method of traveling to India. ” I spoke to her nephew very recently this morning while we were trying to help and organize their travel”, Don said of Nirali’s home trying to get to India. ” We’ll try to give them power, whichever way we can. Sometimes words may not be effective for them, but moral help or simply showing up and being there with them can, the family companion continued.
