Watch video: Iran launches massive missile attack on Israel in retaliation; air raid sirens, explosions rock cities

In what is now the most contentious increase between the two nations in decades, Iran launched a large weapon storm at Israel late on Friday, causing explosions and sirens in several cities, including Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Israel’s unprecedented strikes on Iranian nuclear and military targets earlier the same day resulted in the” Severe Punishment” assault, which Iran referred to as” Severe Punishment.” In a televised address, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei vowed to retaliate, saying that” the armed forces of the Islamic state may impose heavy blows upon this cruel enemy… the consequences of the Jewish attack will take it to ruin.”

    weapons intercepted, bombs heard,

The Israeli government confirmed that “dozens of weapons” had been launched, and that many had been intercepted midair. The Israel Defense Forces ( IDF) stated that” the attack is ongoing,” adding that” the explosions you are hearing are from interceptions or fallen projectiles.” Citizens were urged by regulators to find shelter. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran claimed that it had targeted “dozens of military roles” inside of Israel. Additionally, Iran’s IRNA claimed that its causes shot down two Israeli fighter planes in a hostile airstrike, claims that could not be freely verified.

Best Persian commanders are killed by Israeli strikes.

Israel launched a massive abuse before on Friday, targeting almost 100 goals with the aid of around 200 aircraft and strategically placed violent drones, including Iran’s top advancement sites at Natanz and Fordo and a nuclear research facility in Isfahan. Older Egyptian characters, including Gen. Mohammad Bagheri, Gen. Hossein Salami, and Gen. Amir Ali Hajizadeh, were killed in the strikes, according to the IDF. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the goal as “months in the making” and as” a clear and present danger to Israel’s very survival.

    International tensions are rising.

Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s foreign minister, addressed the UN and expressed concern about Israel’s steps as” state violence” in a text to the Security Council. The Natanz facility’s destruction was confirmed by the IAEA, and it was keeping an eye on the leaks. Anxiety permeated the Israeli population on the roads. The IDF began mobilizing reservists as stores were flooded and open spaces were empty, as well as preparing for feasible action from Egyptian supporters like Hezbollah.

    US comment and local repercussions

The US had previously warned Israel earlier in the week because it was concerned that the cuts might stymie nuclear politics, but it had been made aware of the activity in progress. Some officials in Baghdad were evacuated, and US troops were put on high alert. As weapons flew, Khamenei accused Israel of” stunning personal areas” and vowed it would not “escape carefully from this excellent crime” as a result of President Donald Trump’s warning that Iran must reach a deal before there is nothing left.
