A truck driver from Texas and abducted and killed a 25-year-old Army veteran next year, according to officials from the , U.S.  , Attorney’s Office in North Texas  , on Thursday.
Naasson Hazzard, 28, of Austin, was found guilty of theft and dying in February, according to a report from the Star-Telegram . Caleigha Zangari, a relative of Dallas, was found dead in the trees off Texas Highway 11 in Pittsburg in August of last year.
Zangari entered Hazzard’s semi trailer on the day of August 15, 2024, according to authorities in a statement. Eight days later, a plastic case tied around Zangari’s mind was discovered.
According to the speech, Hazzard intended to perform a sexual action at first with Zangari. According to authorities, he switched smartphones and deleted his Google and Life360 and place sharing records in the days that followed.
According to the statement, Hazzard even used detergent to clean his truck and searched for first-, second-, and third-degree murder sentences online. According to officials, he and his wife eventually left the scene and returned to Tyler for dinner.
Zangari served in Afghanistan before, according to her home, and after returning to the United States, she was prey of sex trafficking.
