Trump-Putin phone call: US President says he & Vladimir agreed Israel-Iran conflict 'should end'; Putin pushes for post-June 22 Ukraine talks

Donald Trump, the president of the US, stated on Saturday that he and Vladimir Putin had come to terms with the continuing conflict between Israel and Iran. Trump’s hour-long call touched on Russia’s conflict in Ukraine and new slave markets, which Trump claimed was initiated by Putin. On his social media platform Truth Social, Trump wrote,” President Putin called this morning to really well desire me a Happy Birthday, but to more important speak about Iran, a state he knows very well. He stated that “he feels, since do I, this conflict in Israel-Iran should stop, to which I explained, his war may also end.” The US President added that much time was spent discussing Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, but that conversation would return to the next week. In line with the ongoing slave transfers between Ukraine and Russia, he confirmed that” a lot of prisoners are being exchanged, right away, from both factors.” Trump’s remarks come as a result of growing worldwide problem over the growing conflict between Iran and Israel, as well as concerns about potential destabilization in the Middle East. Israel launched a massive affect on Egyptian territory on Friday, causing unease in Kyiv and Moscow, who are concerned about a shift in the US military’s focus away from Ukraine.

After June 22 and June 22, Putin suggests starting fresh peace deals with Kyiv.

After the continued slave and body markets are over, Putin told Trump that he was prepared to hold a fresh round of peace agreements with Ukraine, according to the Kremlin, rather than Iran. It was their second visit since Trump’s return to the White House, as part of his wider efforts to rekindle relationships with Moscow and deviate from the view of his father, Joe Biden. Both leaders “expressed satisfaction with their personal relations,” the Kremlin said, adding that they” communicate in a businesslike manner and seek solutions to pressing issues on the bilateral and international agenda, no matter how complex these issues may be.” Ukraine and Russia had their fourth such exchange on Saturday, with Ukraine recovering 1,200 bodies of people Moscow claimed were “Ukrainian citizens, including military personnel.” In addition, both sides were shown on video receiving embraces, calls to family members, and chants of national slogans.

In light of the growing Israeli-Iran conflict, Kyiv urges the US to continue providing aid.

Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, did not say whether Ukraine would agree to hold new talks with Russia, but instead stated that” the exchanges will be finished and the parties will discuss the next step.” Zelensky cautioned that shifting American resources and attention from Ukraine’s war effort was on the rise. He remarked that aid to Ukraine should not be slowed as a result of the region’s recent upheaval with tensions. He also criticized what he called the overly diplomatic tone between Washington and Moscow. ” Any indications of a reduced aid package or of treating Ukraine and Russia as equals are incredibly unfair.” Russia is the one who attacked. This war was started by them. They don’t want to end it, Zelensky stated on X ( previously Twitter ).

Russian forces increase their presence in Sumy.

In the meantime, fighting is raging throughout Ukraine’s northeastern front. According to Zellensky, Ukrainian forces were able to halt Russian incursions in the Sumy region and retake control of at least one village. Russia has been attempting to establish a “buffer zone” along its Ukrainian border by intensifying military operations in Sumy to protect the nearby Kursk region. Moscow had previously claimed advantages in Dnipropetrovsk, but Zelensky refuted those claims. According to Ukrainian officials, 53, 000 Russian soldiers were stationed during the Sumy offensive. The ongoing assault is a part of a wider three-year campaign that has ruined Ukrainian infrastructure, displaced millions, and claimed tens of thousands of lives.

Trump’s attitude toward Moscow irritates allies.

Trump’s continued inclination toward boosting ties with Moscow has raised concerns among US allies, particularly those in Europe, who fear a potential reduction in US financial, military, and intelligence support for Kyiv. The Biden administration had previously taken a strong stance against Russia’s actions, but Trump’s strategy has given rise to uncertainty about US foreign policy going forward. Potrivit to reports, European partners are frantically trying to figure out how to bridge any aid bottleneck should the US cut back. Pressure is mounting on global leaders to maintain a coordinated response as geopolitical flashpoints spread from Eastern Europe to the Middle East.
