This restrictions, which will remain in effect through September 15, aims to stop heat-related illnesses and injuries during the year’s hottest months. This is the 21st consecutive year the ban has been in effect, according to the Ministry’s site, underscoring the UAE’s devotion to international occupational health and safety standards. In the heat of summer, the action is essential to creating safer work environments nationwide.

Powerful Compliance Adhers to UAE’s Humanitarian Values

The Midday Work Ban has an exceptional adherence rate of over 99 % for subsequent years, which is in line with Mohsen Al Nassi, Assistant Undersecretary for the UAE’s business and private business, according to Mohsen Al Nassi, Assistant Undersecretary for the Inspection and Compliance Sector at MoHRE. Additionally, it reflects a more sophisticated understanding of the value of protecting a company’s most valuable resource, people money. Additionally, it highlights the liberal and compassionate nature of UAE labor laws, particularly in terms of occupational safety and health. The Midday Work Ban has also become a primary example of collaboration between the Ministry, the secret business, and members of the community, according to Dalal Al Shehhi, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for the Labor Protection Sector. This is demonstrated by how partners have developed initiatives for employees during the restrictions time, helping to advance the idea of social duty and highlighting the success of awareness campaigns and the enshrinement of humanitarian principles in the UAE’s work setting. By providing fully equipped restrooms during the prohibited hours, some private companies back this program. These locations include first aid packages, fans, enough drinking water, soothing salt approved by local officials, and shaded areas. The restrictions makes exceptions for important tasks that cannot be halted, such as concrete pouring, and urgent repairs to utilities or customers. But, these activities need to be authorized by the appropriate authorities and finished right away. MoHRE encourages the public to report violations to ensure strict compliance by using its call center (600590000 ), official website, and mobile app. Companies that violate the restrictions are subject to fines of AED 5, 000 per offender, with a maximum excellent of AED 50, 000 for many violations.
