After a two-day chase, authorities have detained Vanance Luther Boelter, the alleged shooter behind the killings of two Minnesota position lawmakers.
After being spotted on a local trail with a camera, Boelter, 57, was detained near his land in Green Isle, Minnesota.
Prior to that, authorities had discovered his reported vehicle and a hat close to it that was thought to also belong to Boelter.
The alleged shooter who allegedly shot past Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her partner while pretending to be a police officer led to the arrest. State Senator John Hoffman and his wife are also at large in the wake of the manhunt. Hoffman and his wife are undergoing surgeries after being shot, while Hortman and her father both passed away.
After the firing at Hortman’s home during a healthcare search, police and the shooter exchanged gunfire with the shooter before the suspect fled on foot.
The FBI had formerly offered$ 50,000 for any information leading to Boelter’s get, leading to a weekend-long hunt.
