A police officer reportedly knelt on an Indian man’s chest during an attempted arrest, according to a media statement from Melbourne on Sunday. Gaurav Kundi, 42, from Modbury North in Adelaide, passed away peacefully by his home on Thursday after being taken into care for an “unrecoverable” head injuries, according to 7News Australia. On Payneham Rd in Royston Park, authorities said they were attempting to apprehend Kundi after witnessing an “altercation” between him and a person. Kundi and his family Amritpal Kaur resonantly protested in the incident’s videotape, which showed him being forced by the authorities. Kundi yelled,” I’ve done nothing wrong. Police in Australia claim Kundi fiercely resisted arrest, was intoxicated, and was intoxicated. Kundi was taken to the hospital after his situation declined and he “became insensitive” during the intended arrest. They claimed Kundi was drunk and fiercely resisted the arrest. The event was supposedly domestic violence, and a moving patrol apparently mistook the couple’s argument for domestic violence. Kaur claimed that his spouse was just noisy and intoxicated and not aggressive. South Australian Police Commissioner Grant Stevens stated that they would look into the affair in the interim. The investigation did examine SA Police’s procedures, policies, and education regarding responding to incidents. The US event involving George Floyd and the arrest has been compared. A police officer murdered Floyd, 46, after pressing his thigh and the weight of his figure against the Black American boy’s neck.
