Epidemiologist fired from Harvard after refusing COVID shot named to CDC vaccine panel

Martin Kulldorff, a renowned infectious disease epidemiologist who refused the COVID vaccination last year and was fired from Harvard Medical School, recently started a new job.

Kulldorff has been elected to the Advisory Committee for Immunization Methods at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

In the early days of the COVID time, Kulldorff lost his visit at a Harvard-affiliated hospital and was formally removed from the faculty of medicine in March of 2024. He had refused the COVID vaccine because of his infection-acquired resistance.

Kulldorff&nbsp, argued&nbsp, that techniques like social distancing, masking kids, vaccinations after infections, and other serious steps were not the best course of action to combat the disease since the COVID lockdowns started five years ago this month.

He co-authored the Great Barrington Declaration, which advocated for moral behavior that would give people the ability to “herd exemption” and has been signed by roughly 1 million scientists around the world.

In announcing the panel’s new members last week on X, Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. claimed that his choice represent a “major move toward restoring public confidence in vaccinations.”

Kennedy stated that he is repopulating ACIP with eight new users who are” committed to evidence-based treatments, gold-standard research, and common feeling.” He retired the 17 existing members of the committee.

Before making any fresh vaccine recommendations, they each have pledged to demand comprehensive safety and efficacy data. The council will also examine the latest schedule’s safety and efficacy information,” Kennedy said.

According to MassLive, Mulldorff stated on X that “imagining that somebody needs to be vaccinated is as scientifically flawed as believing that nobody should.”

He wrote that “COVID vaccinations are essential for older, high-risk individuals and their caretakers.” ” Those who have previously had a natural illness do not need it.” not babies.

Some communicable disease and immunization experts accused the health secretary of breaking his pledge to never get so-called anti-vaxxers after Kennedy’s announcement, according to the New York Times.

According to the Times, when Mr. Kennedy fired the whole council, known as the A. C. I. P., he cited economic conflicts of interest and claimed a clear blow was required to restore public confidence in vaccination.

Kulldorff, a Harvard professor, claimed that Harvard had turned its back on him, opened conversation, and health independence when he wrote in City Journal last month.

” The beauty of our defense program is that those who recover from an illness are protected if and when they are re-exposed,” says the statement. This has been known since the Athenians ‘ Disease of 430 BC, but Harvard has not yet published it, he wrote.

The now-infamous” compromise” document in The Lancet, which contests the existence of Covid-acquired resistance, was co-authored by three eminent Harvard faculty members. Harvard is of facto denying 2, 500 decades of research by continuing to sanction the vaccination for individuals with a previous Covid disease.

Kulldorff is a biostatistician and” a leading expert in vaccine protection and communicable disease security,” according to Kennedy when he made the announcement.

Dr. Kulldorff created frequently used tools for identifying disease outbreaks and negative vaccine reactions, including TreeScan and SaTScan. His areas of expertise include analytical techniques for vaccine health, infectious disease disease, and public health surveillance. He has also been a powerful advocate for evidence-based techniques to epidemic response in public health policy.
