Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey issued a harsh reminder Thursday to activists who use murder in his state: “We will shoot you grave useless. ”

Speaking at a news conference with Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier, Ivey said peaceful protests “are portion of our politics” and allowed, but anyone who uses violence or interferes with law enforcement may be met with force, potentially destructive force.

“Throw a masonry, a firebomb or place a gun at one of our representatives, we will be notifying your home where to obtain your bones at, ” he said. “Because we may kill you grave useless. We’re not going to enjoy. ”

Ivey spoke as demonstrations over the Trump administration ’s immigration laws have rocked Los Angeles and popped up in different locations and as countrywide demonstrations against the president ’s activities are planned for Saturday.

The judge, in business since 2013, said if someone tries to crowd a vehicle, they will likely get run over and dragged across the street. If someone strikes a lieutenant, they will be going to the hospital and good will get bitten by one of the agency’s “big, beautiful” puppies, he added.

“If you let it turn aggressive — hey, you do not want to do that in Brevard County. I’m going to tell you that, ” he said. “You don’t want to let it occur. ”

He later said, “ I don’t want to hear any whining later saying ‘we did n’t know’. ”

Ivey and Uthmeier both spoke from a floor emblazoned with the terms, “Florida: The anti-riot position. ”

The press conference was held ahead of the planned nationwide “No Kings ” protests against the Trump administration on Saturday. Many demonstrations are scheduled to take place around Central Florida, including in Orlando, Apopka, Kissimmee and Lake Mary.

Ivey said “riots ” were already happening across the country, with law enforcement officers, including agents of U. S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, focused. Both Ivey and Uthmeier reaffirmed their help for ICE.

Uthmeier said Florida is not like California, where the Trump presidency has deployed the National Guard and will be deploying U. S. Marines following demonstrations against imprisonment activities being carried out by ICE.

“We have a great collaborative procedure with the government, with ICE, and we’re really, really happy to assist them, ” Uthmeier said.

“We are no California. We do not allow violence in the state of Florida, ” he said.

Only before he stepped down from the floor, Ivey reiterated his notice one last time.

“Go rally all you want. Do it happily. Stand on the rooftops and cry your mind, your opinions, ” he said. “We welcome that, but don’t you afraid break the law, because it won’t go well for you. ”
