Two American women have been caught stealing from stores at Singapore’s Changi Airport during their travel. In Singapore, those who commit fraud may be jailed for up to three years or fined or both. Goenka had flown to Singapore from Kolkata and was awaiting her supporting trip to Bali when she decided to head to the stores at Terminal 3. she entered the Furla business at 1. 40 p and saw a golden bag on display. She therefore took the bag, value more than SGD 300, and placed it on the baggage train she was pushing, before leaving the store without paying. She also admitted to stealing a bottle of perfume at a makeup business at Terminal 2, valued at more than SGD 200. 30-year-old Garg Prasha was given a great of SGD 700 after pleading guilty to one count of fraud. She had entered the Charles & Keith shop at Terminal 2, during travel after arriving from India. While browsing the purchase at around 7 am, she spotted a dark backpack carrier on show and decided to take it from the purchase by placing it into the baggage trolley she was pushing. She finally left the shop without paying. When an individual noticed what was happening, a policeman report was made. Garg was found and arrested soon after with the backpack, value more than SGD 80, recovered in its original state.
