As raging hostility between the two officials over the Israel-Iran issue erupted into insults, President Trump claimed on Tuesday that French President Macron “always gets it wrong”. Trump called Macron “publicity seeking” because he left the G7 gathering in Canada shortly and flew back to Washington. Trump claimed in a statement on his Truth Social software that the French president “has no idea why I’m on my way to Washington, but it surely has nothing to do with a Cease Fire.” The US had assured reporters attending the G7 meeting that” they will get a peace, and since they can force Israel, things may change,” according to Macron, who uninsaid, that Trump’s real motivation for his exit was “much bigger than that.” The French president didn’t immediately respond.
